Thanksgiving Weekend in Franklin, NC

The Friday after Thanksgiving, be sure to join us our Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Enjoy sounds of the season, complimentary cookies and hot cider, a visit with Santa Claus and get your holiday shopping underway with downtown merchants.

On the Saturday after Thanksgiving bring your young ones to the downtown Gazebo for "Cookies With Santa" from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This is event is always a lot of fun and full of holiday cheer. Your young ones can also write their letter to Santa during this event and put it in the express mailbox to the North Pole. Each letter will be personally answered by the Jolly Ole Elf.

And on Sunday afternoon be sure to enjoy the Annual Franklin Christmas Parade through the streets of downtown.

The first Friday in December, the townhill area of Historic Downtown Franklin, NC is transformed into a "Winter Wonderland". This event features living window displays, live sounds of the season in stores and outdoors at the downtown gazebo. Downtown merchants also serve free refreshments, hot cider, and offer great sales on gift ideas for every member of the family to get you in the spirit of the season. You'll also enjoy wagon rides and other great holiday surprises each year including roving holiday characters and a visit from Santa himself.
